As we slowly begin to welcome friends and family back into our homes we want to welcome them with open arms and an inviting space. What better place to set the tone than in your entryway. It's the first introduction people have to your style and let's people know how you run your ship (shoes off and stored please). lol

Our entryway was pretty bare except for a couple pieces of art, mirror hung on the wall and small table. We knew we wanted to continue the warm colors and Afro modern vibe that's in the rest of the house here, so the first order of business was to add seating and comfort. That's where Allmodern came in.
This blog post is sponsored by AllModern however all opinions are my own.
They have a vast selection of modern pieces we chose the Brice lumbar pillow, Benning leather bench and Avalance framed art.

I believe you can never have too much art in your home even in the entryway where most of us might not think to put any since we don't spend as much time in that part of the house. But imagine the wow factor you'd create every time you or your guests enter your home.

Art should always be at the forefront of decorating your home not an afterthought. I chose the
Avalance framed art because I love the mid century modern patterns and this artwork incorporates circles into the space to offset the squares (in the wood frames) and rectangles (the bench and mirrors) in the space.

Next, I added the
Brice lumbar pillow and
Benning leather bench. Nothing like mixing masculine and feminine decor or soft fabrics with natural tough materials like wood and leather. The leather strap construction has such a modern, interesting vibe that blends nicely with the playful fringe and soft complementary colors on the pillows.

Lastly, the finishing touches: snake plant, woven African basket for keys, wooden African staff (for protective energy) and a Korhoho fabric throw. It's those last bits that really pull a room together. This is also a great chance to shop your own home for items in other rooms you're either not using or decorative accents that could use a new place to shine.
